Read Our Story

Hi, I’m Ngan from The Loving Gifts.

When I first thought about starting this business, I didn’t begin right away. I kept telling myself that I needed more time to practice, I needed “something more” before I could take the leap. So I delayed it again and again.

After moving to the beautiful place of Port Stephens (NSW, Australia). I felt it was time to begin a new chapter in my life. I asked myself: If not now, then when? That was the moment I decided I had to start, with love, and with the hope of spreading love through everything I make.

I’ve always been the kind of person who enjoys giving gifts to show how much I care. But often, I found it hard to find something truly meaningful in the shops. What always caught my heart were small, handmade treasures - they felt special, unique, and filled with love.

I enjoyed making little handmade things myself, bookmarks, small crafts, and thoughtful creations. When I shared them with friends, they always encouraged me: “Ngan, you could sell these!” But I wasn’t confident in myself, even though the idea stayed quietly in my heart.

On 01/08/2025, something changed. My heart whispered, “Ngan, let’s do it. You can do this.” So, I registered for my ABN (Australian Business Number). When I received the email "Record of Registration for Business Name" with my name written on it, I told myself, "Stick with it. Do this because you love it. Create things with love and spread the love."

I started listing what I needed for the business, but soon realized I already had almost what I needed. I had machines at home, and I had already been making small gifts for my coworkers, family, and friends. In truth, The Loving Gifts had begun long before it became an official business.

Sharing this story today, I want to leave you with this thought: sometimes, you don’t need to wait until everything feels “perfect.” You might already be doing what you’re meant to do. And when the time is right, the path will open clearly in front of you.

See you in the next chapter of The Loving Gifts.

Ngan.
